Rimmel London Gel Eyeliner Review

I have never been a fan of gel eyeliners, I usually prefer wearing liquid eyeliners because I have much practice with their application. A few days back, I forgot to keep my eyeliner in bag (that's always there because I like wearing eyeliner daily and sometimes I don't have enough time in the morning to get ready) so, I borrowed my friend's eyeliner.
I wasn't much comfortable with the thought of wearing a gel eyeliner because I thought it would smudge or won't be the right black shade that I like but I was wrong.
This eyeliner has a great color, in my opinion, even a single coat is enough (okay, two coats if you're not satisfied with a single coat). It's also affordable and lasts for a quite long time (I guessed that from the quantity) and another thing; the application is TOO SMOOTH! It glides on too easily and I think even a beginner can get a sharp wing with this.
The only thing that I didn't like much was the applicator. I think it should be a little thin and more pointed. But overall, I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to buy an affordable gel eyeliner and is new at the eyeliner game.
To sum this all up, here are the main points.

Pros:

  • Smooth and easy application
  • Pigmented
  • Affordable

Cons:

I think the applicator tip should have been a bit more pointed. That's it. :)

Looking for an affordable, black, matte eyeliner? Here it is.

About three months back, when I finally decided that I need to change my eyeliner, I rushed to the market to get one for me. I have been a fond of eyeliner, and like every other girl, I want my wing to be on fleek.
I had never tried a gel eyeliner before, so wanted to stick to liquid eyeliner because I had enough practice with liquid ones and I thought they are more easier (no, it's not like that. I'll tell you how I got to know that when I'll review Rimmel Londen Waterproof Gel Eyeliner). Usually liquid eyeliners are not completely matte. I used to use Oriflame The One Liquid Eyeliner (the purple tube) and it was an amazing black, matte eyeliner but wasn't water proof and I wanted to get myself a waterproof eyeliner.
On trying different eyeliners, there! I found it. Essence waterproof liquid ink eyeliner. It was blackest black (okay 2 or 3 coats make it blackest black), matte YESSS! and waterproof. And yes, quite economical too.
I bought it from D.Watson for Rs. 550/- and that is quite affordable specially when your previous eyeliners cost around 1000 pkr. Buying it was a pretty nice decision because it was good in all ways. The eyeliner tip was also thin and helped in creating a nice wing.
Overall, I would recommend it to everyone who is a fond of eyeliners.

Pros:

  • It is matte
  • Waterproof
  • Blackest black
  • Budget friendly
  • Has a nice tip

Cons:

Not any, I'd rate it 10/10 :)
I hope you liked the review. Do try and let me know how you liked it. :)

Swatch:

Here's a swatch of the eyeliner. (Don't mind how my hands look, it isn't dryness. I tested a foundation here first :p )

Beauty World's Mousse Creamy Glitters Review

As we all know that girls LOVE glitters. Not just teenage girls or adults, using them in their makeup, I remember, during my childhood, I used to collect glitters in different colors. I had a huge collection of glitters and I used them in all my arts projects and every decoration.
Now, being 21, I still have love for glitters. Being a makeup junkie, I'm obsessed with glittery eye makeup. It looks too good.
Today, I'm going to review Mousse Creamy Glitters that I bought from a facebook page "Beauty World".
Here's a picture of my palette:

Just as they look, these glitters are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. What I like the most is that this page has got a wide variety of colors, in mousse and pressed glitters in such cheap rates.
I bought this palette because it has almost all the colors that I wanted.
Coming to the texture, they have sort of a creamy mousse texture and are not messy at all. Application is much easy and are water proof. These vibrant colors look too good on eyes and spread so easily, I'm in love!
Another thing, they stays on for long & are waterproof so you can use them on the top of your lipstick too, to get those glamorous glittery lips 💋✨
Let's summarize everything.

Price:

Rs.900 for 12 shades. So cheap.

Pros:

  • Not messy at all
  • Smooth application
  • Waterproof
  • Cheap price

Cons:

Can't think of any

(Couldn't share the swatches but you can find them on Beauty World's facebook page)
Take care lovelies. xx

8 things you need to know before you get ready for Eid.

Hi guys. Chand Raat Mubarak. I hope you've got all things ready to get yourself dolled up this Eid. 😊
Here are a few things I want to tell you that you need to remember while doing your makeover.
Okay, let's start.

1. Don't forget to prepare your skin:

Cleansing, toning and moisturizing are very important steps. You should add these steps in your daily skin care routine. Cleansing helps you remove dirt from your skin, toning helps to close the pores and prevents from breakouts and moisturizing is necessary to hydrate your skin. These steps also prepare your skin for makeup, helping in smooth application.

2. Right amount and shade of foundation.

Always remember not to apply too much foundation. It takes away the natural look and makes you look cakey and fake. Another thing to remember while choosing the right foundation is 'choose the foundation that matches your skin tone'. I have seen many people applying foundation lighter than their skin tone to look 'fair' and trust me this is not right at all. It makes your complexion greyish and fake. Not a good decision. Foundations are meant to enhance your tone NOT to lighten it. God has made you beautiful. You can look gorgeous in your wheatish complexion too :) ps go for a waterproof foundation, it's too hot out there.

3. Contouring, highlighting and applying blush according to the shape of your face is must.

We all have different shapes of our faces. Some have round faces, some have heart shaped face, some have oval, some have square and much more. Application of contour, highlighter and blush is also different for different shapes. You can see the picture above, it explains the right way of application of these according to different face shapes.

4. Liquid lipsticks stay longer, don't smudge or bleed.

Liquid matte lipsticks have a better staying power, they don't end up bleeding, smudging or simply disappearing. They're trending too. Yes, they do make your lips feel dry but you can exfoliate and then moisturize and prime your lips before application to minimize the dryness.

5. Don't apply too many layers of mascara and make your eyelashes clumpy.

Too much mascara that makes your eyelashes clumpy is NOT a good idea. Try not to apply more than two layers. You can apply three if your lashes don't start clumping (depends on the mascara that you're wearing). If you want your lashes to have more volume for Eid, use false eyelashes for your look.

6. Don't forget to invest in a good, waterproof, smudge proof eyeliner.

Do you want to look like this after an hour or two of applying makeup for Eid? Of course NOT. Girls, it's too hot out there. You don't want your eyeliner to smudge and destroy your complete look. So do wear a nice waterproof eyeliner :)

7. Don't forget your brows.

Brows give your face a more defined, gorgeous look. Patchy, light eyebrows don't look nice at all. I have seen many people completely ignoring their eyebrows. You're blessed if you've got naturally thick, dark eyebrows but don't forget to fill in your brows if you need to.

8. Set your makeup with a setting powder.

After you've done your makeup, don't forget to set it with a setting powder. Many people skip this step but remember, it's Eid and you wanr your makeup to last longer. :)

I hope you liked the tips, stay tuned for more posts in the future. May your makeup be on point this Eid. Look gorgeous, Eid Mubarak, love. xx
